Q4:
How do I make a local server accessible from the Internet? |
|
A:As
the router has its own built-in web server for the configuration screens,
if you want to access to that remotely and to a web server behind
the router, you will have to change the router's http "port"
to something other than the default, which is Port 80. You might choose
port 8080 instead under Miscellaneous Configuration; you must
then access the admin screens by suffixing the normal IP address with:
8080 (e.g. http://192.168.1.1:8080).
After that, click on virtual server configuration to fill out
Web server's IP address such as 192.168.1.3, Port number 80. |
