(CNet) has just announced the release of its new Wireless-G VPN Firewall Router-- CWR-901 designed to enhance your network security using a layer 3 (OSI layer) network routing model with static and dynamic routing functions. The CWR-901 provides advanced security features, such as firewall (NAT + DoS), multi-VPN (PPTP/L2TP), WPA-PSK, WPA-AES, WEP Encryption, in addition to MAC address control and online gaming management, etc. The VPN applications allow simultaneous use of 3 tunnels between access VPN, intranet VPN, and extranet VPN to provide secure work for Site-to-Site tunnels. Its Firewall applications support web server, mail server, FTP server, VoIP gateway, DNS, and Microsoft networking under a security protection rule. With a built-in 4-port 10/100 Base Switch and a 1-port WAN connection, CWR-901 enables wired and wireless LAN users and operators to work with exceptional flexibility and ease.

The CWR-901 Wireless-G VPN Firewall Router complies with IEEE 802.11b and 802.11g standards within the 2.4 GHz frequency band. In addition, it is equipped with Access Control List, URL Filter, ALG, Anti-DoS, UDP Blocking, Protocol-based NAT, and NAPT options under its Firewall features. And to complete its security functionality, the CWR-901 has also been designed to provide user-friendly handling for VPN settings, QoS settings, and advanced setup tools, such as Static Route, RIP, Special Application, Pseudo VLAN, Ping Tool, IP multicast, and so on.
